MPL Marks 40th Anniversary with Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Malé, 15 September 2026 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) commenced its 40th Anniversary celebrations this morning with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Chief Executive Officer Captain Hussain Shafeeq and MPL’s longest-serving employee, Adam Waheed.
The occasion was attended by the Deputy Commissioner General and senior officials of Maldives Customs Service, marking the significance of this milestone in MPL’s journey.
The celebrations continued with a cake-cutting ceremony and breakfast, bringing employees together to commemorate 40 years of service, dedication and contribution to the development of the Maldives’ maritime sector.
