MPL Awards Thilafushi Port Quay Wall Development Project to MTCC
The development project is scheduled to complete within 120 days.
Malé, 1 June 2026 – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has awarded the development of a 100 meter quay wall and paving works for the clearance area of Thilafushi Port to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
The agreement was signed by MPL Chief Executive Officer, Captain Hussain Shafeeq, and MTCC Managing Director DCP (RETD) Ahmed Saudee.
The project includes the construction of a 100 meter quay wall and paving of approximately 6,775 square meters within the designated clearance area and is scheduled for completion within 120 days.
The development is expected to improve operational efficiency and help ease congestion at existing clearance facilities.
